Umbraco Awards 2014

As the dust settles on another Codegarden we wanted to take a minute to recognize the winners of the annual Umbraco Awards for 2014. We received many incredible entries and selecting the winners was very difficult among so many excellent choices. We solicited votes from members of the Umbraco HQ and a group of third party reviewers. With the votes tallied the winners were in. Without further ado, here they are!

The winner in each of the three categories (best technical, best integration, and best design) received a unique and beautiful Umbraco Award to display. (photo by Doug Robar)

For the Best Technical category, the two runners-up were http://letour.yorkshire.com/ by http://www.theoutfield.net/ and http://www.sacphoto.ch/ by http://www.opten.ch/.

The winner for the Best Technical category was http://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/ by http://www.codecomputerlove.com/ We liked this site’s use of Elastic Search and the way it demonstrates how Umbraco can nicely co-exist with other components of a larger and more complex system.
