Take a look at what's possible
Umbraco Uno was created as the one-stop website platform for creative agencies... but what can you actually built with it?
If you want an example of a full Uno website (that will also be waiting for you pre-made in your very own Umbraco Uno trial), take a look at our Unicorn Hotel and Spa website demo. And if you want an overview of all the steps that went into building it, take a look at the examples down bellow.
Add a widget
Widgets are the building blocks that make up Umbraco Uno, so remember:
''The journey of a thousand websites begins with a single widget'', or so they say. Pretty sure that's how it went, anyway...
Wonder how your content will look like on a laptop screen compared to a desktop? Or how it would look like on a smartphone? Maybe a... SIDEWAYS smartphone? With Uno, previewing your content has never been easier.
Viewing your work on the live website
If you wish to skip the preview stage and want to see exactly what your visitors will see, you can go directly to the live website.
Copy & Paste widgets
Umbraco Uno is built to speed up your workflow. And reusing the values, settings, and contents of previously created widgets, will eventually add up to quite a bit of saved time.
Drag & Drop widgets to restructure content
The ''This might look better over there'' stage of the creative process can be made significantly shorter by using the sorting functionality
A simple page
Creating a simple page should be quick and easy. So... it is.
Hiding a page
Maybe your page is not ready to go out into the world. Maybe it's a landing page that people should only find with a direct link. Those, among many other reasons, are why pages can be easily hidden from the navigation.
Creating and viewing subpages
Subpages are an essential part of any website, and in Uno, they are as easy to both create and manage as regular pages.
If you want your website to include at least the basic search-engine-optimized information, every page has an option for adding an SEO title, description, and preview image.
Edit colors live on the page
No need to switch back and forth between the preview and editing stage. With Uno's live theme editor, you can change fonts and colors live during your preview.
Creating a blog/newsfeed
Creating a blog page that will house all your articles, preparing for the possibility to feed them to other pages through the ''latest from feed'' widget, and publishing your first blog post. All under a minute.
Latest from feed
Would you like to add a newsfeed of your 3 latest posts to any page? With Uno, it's already a widget.
Not every piece of content has to get published right after getting written. This is where post scheduling comes in handy.
A well-structured website is always more pleasant to navigate. And if your media folders are structured and tidy, it will be much easier to keep track of them as your website grows.
Since Uno comes with Umbraco Forms right out of the box, anything from simple opt-in forms to complex signup pages is a breeze to both create and manage.
Forms as a widget
And once a form is created, it can just as easily be deployed as a widget and tracked through the backoffice and any number of extensions.
Nothing is carved in stone
Maybe you deleted something you shouldn't have, and maybe the previous images made the page look nicer, or the text sounded better in the version you had half an hour ago... This is where a rollback will come in handy.
Price list and the grid
With a combination of existing widgets and the grid, you can instantly create a lot of the elements that would typically take a while of tinkering with the code. Like a price list.
Users and Permissions
Everything is more fun with friends (or at least colleagues). So we made inviting new users as straightforward as possible. Just fill out the name, email, their role/permissions in the project, and their invite is ready.
