Niels Hartvig
Niels is the founder
of Umbraco and remains the project's heart and soul. Niels
started Umbraco out of necessity but has maintained it out of love
and now Umbraco has a life far beyond his wildest dreams.
Niels is the inspiration behind Umbraco's community focus, its
dedication to quality, and its no-compromise approach to
simplicity. He can be found improving bits of core
functionality as often as he can be found encouraging others to
take Umbraco to its limit.
Other than spreading the Umbraco love, Niels spends time with
his wife and three sons and makes music with his ever growing
collection of analogue synths.

Per Ploug Hansen
Before joining
forces with Niels and strengthening Umbraco as a partner, Per was
amongst the first members of the Umbraco community and a very
active one! Rolling out some top grade packages and putting love
back into the core.
At the HQ Per keeps an eye on the tasks and planning to make
sure the focus is right and things get released. He's also the
operator of our weekly status HQ calls.
If he's not adding or rearranging post-it's on his whiteboard
you can find Per experimenting in the kitchen and spending time
with his wife and kid(s).

Tim Geyssens
Tim is one of those
rare developers who knows how to code and at the same time,
understands the importance of making it look and feel good to the
user. Again and again he has impressed us all by turning loosely
defined concepts into real live applications in no time.
On a day to day basis he, among other things, drives the
development of Umbraco Contour and makes sure that umbraco.tv keeps
the Umbraco community entertained and educated on the latest
umbraco topics.
Tim runs the blog nibble.be and lives with his girlfriend near
Ghent in the land of chocolate, waffles and wheat beer:
Belgium.

Paul Sterling
Paul Sterling is a
long-time web developer who found Umbraco love in 2006 when he
immediately became a community evangelist on his own. He
loves to tell you about Umbraco, write some simple code to do great
things, and generally improve your experience with Umbraco and web
content management in general. Paul is the co-author of the
"Umbraco User's Guide" from Wrox Press and the creator of much of
the Umbraco literature - so he's the guy to send your input to
(hint).
Paul lives and runs in Bellingham, Washington where being
web-geek, runner, and beer-drinker can be combined without
attracting much attention.

Alex Norcliffe
Alex is a technical
genius and responsible for the technical side of Umbraco 5. He's
"the sharp" in c# and a master at making diagrams in Visio that
needs at least an A2 printer to fit. In other words, he's not only
able to think big but also to put all the pieces together as
beautiful architecture. When he's not at work he likes to .... (was
about to write drive like a madman in his 350Z but then
again...

Peter Gregory
Peter has been an avid Umbraco user
since the projects early days and was one of the first in
Australasia to become an Umbraco Certified Developer. He now runs
the Umbraco Certification program in the Asia Pacific region and is
passionate about teaching others how to use and extend Umbraco.
At the HQ Peters role includes developing new community
initiatives and helping to keep Umbraco bug free.
When Peters not working he can often be found trying to master
the art of the perfect espresso or with a hammer in hand renovating
his house but mostly Peter loves hanging out with his wife and four
kids. Peter currently lives in Auckland, New Zealand.

Warren Buckley
Born in 1985 Mr
Warren 'CWS' Buckley was one of the youngest advocates in the UK
and really drove the community forward (Rumours says that he made
his first package before he stopped using dipers). He has taught
hundreds of designers & developers alike how to start out with
Umbraco due to the awesome starter website (CWS).
After being one of two people who pulled off a hat-trick MVP
award, he joined the HQ to drive the frontend UI in Umbraco and to
become a "Shit hot" Javascript Developer while also keeping the
community close to heart by making sure codegarden is an ace
event.

Casey Neehouse
Casey was one of the initial users of
Umbraco over 8 years ago. He was the first MVP in the Umbraco
community, and has been providing services and support to Umbraco
users for the past 5 years. Casey provides training and support to
Umbraco customers throughout North America and the rest of the
world.
When he's not making Umbraco Confidence customers smile he can
be found bowling or playing his trumpet and French horn. He's also
a gadget geek (when he can afford it).

Shannon Deminick
Shannon Deminick, or "booyaka-Shan" as
Alex likes to call him, is a man of prolific productivity. Founder
of the uComponents, Examine and ClientDependency projects, his
Umbraco credentials are so good he's been nominated for a Nobel
peace prize.
Shan hails from Canada but has spent the last 9 years in
Australia where he takes time out from coding to bbq, surf, and
polish his 2010 Yamaha XJ6 motorbike. One of a select group of
individuals who is brilliant at coding without feeling the need to
fit the pasty nerd stereotype, he's a great laugh to work with and
we were all stoked when he agreed to join us at the HQ to work on
Umbraco 5 and beyond.

Cherie Gregory
Cherie is the only female employee at
the Umbraco HQ and is the better half of Peter Gregory. How she
ever puts up with all the geeky man talk we'll never know?! At the
HQ Cherie can be found making everyone's copy beautiful & more
readable and organises and writes the bi-weekly Umbraco newsletter,
which we have started to send more regularly thanks to her.
When Cherie isn't cursing Warren for his terrible grammar and
badly worded blog posts she can be found baking awesome cupcakes
and other scrumptious cakes & treats, writing a book or two and
tying together the laces on her wickedly illuminous pair of
trainers for when she goes out for a run.

Matt Brailsford

Matt Brailsford aka "The Karmanator" has been amongst
the most active developers in the community of late, and his
Umbraco packages have often been seen in the top ten lists. He was
hired by the HQ because of his incredible natural talent of turning
concepts into regular products and we are confident both the
Umbraco core and our add-ons will benefit from this.
When Matt eventually shuts down his computer - sorry
puts it into sleep mode - you'll find him going for a walk, or
while at home baking homemade bread in his oven. And no - this
ain't a dating ad, he's already taken!

Morten Christensen
Morten is known as one of the most active people
in the Danish Umbraco community and the man behind fanatastic
packages like
Standard Values and the
integration with Google Analytics in the back office. At the HQ
he's our resident Azure expert and will be working on the Umbraco
as a Service project which will launch in 2012.
He's the proud father of Orlando and he's dreaming of doing all
his Umbraco related work from a beach near Salvador together with
Claudiane - his Brazillian wife who bears with him, even when
he watch Cloud
Cover after work!
