Migrate your one-off Forms license to a subscription

You can move your one-off Forms license (file) to the new subscription model (key). Your existing license gives you a total of 32 months of subscription time.

We simply subtract the number of months that have already passed since your original purchase.

Example

You bought your one-off license 24 months ago.

This means you still have 8 months left in your included subscription time (32 months – 24 months = 8 months).

After those 8 months, your subscription will automatically renew for 12 months.

Umbraco 17 will only support the subscription model. Your one-off license can be migrated to the subscription model.

No, the one-off license file will remain valid as is. It can be used for umbraco v13 and v16. When these versions go end-of-life then the support for umbraco Forms will also stop. When you want to upgrade to umbraco 17+, you will need to migrate Forms to the subscription model and request a license key.

If you are running on Umbraco Cloud then you don't have to migrate. Umbraco will take care of that.

The Umbraco Forms one-off license file will remain working for all Umbraco versions below 17 as is. If you are planning to upgrade to Umbraco 17 then you will need to purchase a new subscription license key.
