Blog feed
You create and design your blog to fit your requirements. Both in terms of the data you want to store, the design you want to implement, and the workflows your editors need. You can make a blog post as simple or advanced as you want and importantly, let it evolve over time.
You can build the setup yourself or take a look at the multiple communities and licensed packages available that offer variants on the blog functionality for you to implement and get going with your blog in no time.

Author profiles
No need to type in author details manually every time you upload a new article. With Umbraco, you can create author profiles ranging from a simple name in a text field to complex pieces of content that can include bio, images, references, links, anything really. You can even use the Users or Members sections in Umbraco as a basis (or fallback) for Author profiles - it’s truly up to you.

Publishing date and scheduling
Umbraco offers workflows for scheduling content for publishing and unpublishing. So whether you need to publish a blog post while in a meeting or stop a campaign from running, it can all be scheduled with a few clicks so you don’t have to do it manually.
The information around publishing and updating content is all accessible and can be used to automatically update the frontend. Or you can implement the ability to override these with Umbraco’s built-in date and time pickers for ultimate control.

Categories and tags
Umbraco has powerful tools for tagging categorizing content. There are many different approaches based on what you need and what the content deserves. You can use the tree structure for categorization. Use the built tag editor for tagging. Mix and match the options for complex taxonomy. And use it all for filtering and search purposes. All to help make your content more structured for both yourself and especially your readers.

Guest author access
Umbraco’s User section allows you to create User Groups and invite users to one, or multiple, groups. This means you can give them access to the necessary parts of your website. You can even set it up so the content will have to be approved before it’s published. So whether you want to invite guest authors or translators without them having access to everything, it’s all possible.
