Pre-built themes

Umbraco CMS gives you the freedom to create your desired website from scratch - but what if you’re in a hurry? Or if you don’t feel comfortable starting with a blank canvas? Or maybe don’t have a developer on your team? Then we recommend starting with a pre-built theme, skin, or starter kit. If you’re creating a basic website, why not save costly development hours by using something that’s already out there? Pre-built themes come in many flavors in Umbraco - some are created and maintained by Umbraco HQ, others are created by community members, Umbraco Gold Partners, or other third-party sources.

Recycling is popular - also when we’re talking web development. Why not reuse your best elements for multiple pages instead of starting from scratch every time? Build Global elements like navigation and footer in the exact style and branding you need and add it as an element to each template you create, saving you time as well as the boring task of redoing things over and over again in the development process.
