Codegarden is not going to take place in 2020

It is with a heavy heart that we have made the decision not to host Codegarden this year due to the COVID-19 virus spread. It was a tough decision but we want to prioritize the health and safety of everyone involved and we believe this is the only responsible thing to do.

Codegarden is without a doubt the event of the year that we are looking forward to the most here at Umbraco HQ. Not only because we get to host it and invite the community to our home city and HQ, but also because we simply love the Codegarden vibe where creativity, friendliness and ambition is all mixed together in the days the event last.

We want Codegarden to be an international, diverse and open event that makes it possible to meet other people from the community, meet friends face to face, share ideas and go home again feeling enriched and inspired. With participants from more than 40 countries in 2019 Codegarden can truly be called an international event.

Given the current situation we don’t think it is responsible to host Codegarden at the planned time.

MVP’s and Awards are still open

We still want to celebrate the fantastic people in the community as well as the many great Umbraco solutions built since Codegarden last year. So please keep submitting. We will make sure the winners will be properly celebrated.

When will Codegarden be in 2021?

As we are certain that you understand we have been busy planning this year's Codegarden, which also means that we haven’t had much time to consider what should happen next year. So even though we would love to be able to give you an answer to this,  we can’t tell you when the next Codegarden will be yet.

Stay up to date

We understand that you may sit back with questions related to Codegarden. We are working on a new plan now and we promise that we will keep you updated when we have news. We will post updates here on the blog and within the next couple of months we will be able to share what the plans look like for the event in 2021.
