Well hi there! My name is Pratheeskumar – or in short: Prathees. Yes, it’s a little bit difficult to pronounce, therefore my name has a lot of variations - but you will learn it quickly 😉 Fun fact: I’m the only one in Denmark registered with that name 😁
I’m one of the newest additions to Umbraco HQ and you can find me at the fantastic Support Warriors and Troubleshooters team – SWAT. As a part of the team, I’m helping you by troubleshooting stuff for you in case you have any issues or questions. Please do not hesitate to contact me. I will provide you with some truly great support!
I’m currently studying a BA in Web Development and have been hired at Umbraco as a student assistant. I’m really glad I was presented with this opportunity as it will supply me with real-life and relevant work experience next to my studies. I haven’t been introduced to the friendliest CMS before and now I’m really glad that I have this opportunity. I hope to learn a lot and further develop myself, professionally and personally! 🤞
Just a little something about me
I’m 34 years old, born in Sri Lanka and raised in Denmark. I grew up in Southern Jutland, near the German border. I, therefore, speak 3.5 languages: Danish, Tamil, English and a little bit of German. Just a tiny bit.
In 2014, I decided it was time to try something new and I moved to Odense with my girlfriend. We love it here and in 2018 we welcomed our daughter to the world.

Since I was a kid, I’ve always been playing video games and loved technology. I still do and keep following the latest tech trends and being super curious about what the future may bring.
Besides that, I’m a music and movie enthusiast! I love music so much I study and listen to a song for how it is built, and which sounds & effects they’ve used. I do create my own songs in my spare time or when the opportunity arises. I don’t know how to play any instrument, though I have a guitar. One of my goals is to learn how to play the bass. First step: Acquire a bass! 😅
Oh, I forgot to mention that I’m an avid watcher of stand-up comedy and comedy in general. I also like riding my bike. I bike 8-9 km to school - and I bike around 16-18 km a day in total. I love it, especially in the morning. I’m a morning person by the way.
My new goal for next year is my latest passion: Hunting! I’m going to get my hunting license in March 2021 and take a rifle course so I can start going hunting and get to know nature even more!
