Growing Together: Umbraco Expands into Australia and New Zealand

At Umbraco, our vision has always been simple: to make it easier for people and organizations to create digital experiences that truly work for them - open, flexible, and built on trust. That vision has taken us from our roots in Denmark to a strong presence across Europe, North America, and now it’s time to grow further. Today, I’m thrilled to share that Umbraco is expanding further into Australia and New Zealand, marking a significant step in our broader growth across the Asia-Pacific region.

A Strong Start with Great Local Leadership

To lead this exciting next step, we’ve welcomed Head of APAC Region, Emmanuel Tissera, to the team. Emmanuel is the former Technical Director at a well-respected Umbraco Platinum Partner, Luminary in Australia, and is a long-standing advocate for open technology and Umbraco’s community-driven values.

Emmanuel brings deep technical expertise, local insight, and a passion for helping partners and businesses leverage Umbraco to build better, more flexible digital solutions. He’ll be spearheading our efforts to establish Umbraco in the ANZ market and shape our regional strategy from the ground up.

Building Local Presence and Support

Expanding into Australia and New Zealand isn’t just about presence; it’s about partnership and service. We’re proud to now also have a dedicated Sales Partner Manager, Mashud Miah, based in Melbourne, ensuring that agencies and developers across the region have direct access to Umbraco’s ecosystem, support, and opportunities.

To strengthen this local setup, we’ve also added two experienced team members from Umbraco HQ to provide hands-on support:

One dedicated to support and customer success, and
Another focused on technical sales and enablement, helping partners bring Umbraco’s open platform to market confidently and effectively.

And with our new support presence in Australia, from February 1st, 2025, we’re expanding our “Follow the Sun” model - offering near 24-hour global coverage. With support teams now active across Europe, North America, and Australia, Umbraco can provide faster responses, deeper expertise, and continuous care for our partners and customers around the world.
