Fast-to-Market Website, Brand Building, and Donation Capabilities Increase Exposure
✅ Fast-to-Market Website ✅ Brand Building ✅ Donation Capabilities Increase Exposure
How it all started
Athletes for Justice had a fast-approaching deadline. The Chicago Sky was planning to dedicate their season to the non-profit, but they needed a website and donation platform in time for the announcement. With a team largely comprised of volunteers who had limited design experience, Athletes for Justice needed a cost-effective and user-friendly CMS platform to build their comprehensive website.
A fact-finding Adage-led workshop allowed for the Athletes for Justice team to discuss strategy and direction that aligned across all stakeholders. A plan was set in place to create a website that was cost-effective and easy for the organization’s volunteers to use.
Adage was able to launch a website that highlighted the values of the organization with a modern look and hopeful messaging across all platforms. Umbraco was chosen because of its user-friendly design, and the Athletes for Justice team was able to populate content while Adage built the site which saved valuable time throughout the process. The ease of access that Umbraco provides allowed for the website to launch before the expedited timeline.
The Athletes for Justice website provides a dynamic experience that gives visitors a full picture of the organization and its mission. Adage designers worked to create a consistent look between the logo, the website, and other marketing collateral that revealed the founders’ true vision of advancing justice for all. The site is easy to use and acts as the steppingstone to the organization’s overall branding.

The (high)way to success
Adage immediately got to work designing a website that matched the mission of Athletes for Justice. With a small team and an upcoming deadline, the team decided to use Umbraco for its easy-to-use interface along with free site templates to bypass some of the larger design work that would be needed otherwise.
Uskinned templates gave the team a modern and efficient base-level website to build from that helped tell the story of the organization and highlighted Athlete for Justice’s overall brand.
By utilizing a template, Adage developers were able to start immediately creating a fully functioning website under Athletes for Justice’s strict deadline. The two-person design team could focus on content population and ensure the donation platform was up and running rather than building an entire site from scratch.
Once the website had been built, Adage’s priority was ensuring the volunteer team could understand Umbraco and make edits as needed. Thanks to Umbraco’s user-friendly design, it only took a few training sessions for the Athletes for Justice team to be able to easily understand Umbraco.
They could build and modify pages after the launch, allowing them to keep their followers updated about how they were continuing to serve their community without a huge learning curve.
Happy clients = Happy us
Umbraco allowed for the Adage team to create a high-quality website that will serve the organization for years to come, while allowing the internal team the ability to access it and make changes as needed with its user-friendly design. The Athletes for Justice team can keep their communities up-to-date with all they are doing without assistance from external parties.
“Umbraco offers us the tools and ease of use to keep our website fresh and timely. With no background in code or software, the team has easily adopted Umbraco and has embraced the ability to make on-the-fly updates to an otherwise complex website.”
The new website and branding materials helped Athletes for Justice establish a space for themselves digitally and provided them the tools to easily collect donations from their supporters. When the announcement came that Chicago Sky was dedicating their season to the organization, Athletes for Justice was prepared with a complete site and donation platform to further spread their mission and values with the world. Thanks to the new website, Athletes for Justice was able to increase donations from external parties for the first time in its history.
