BIMCO, a leading global shipping organisation, needed to modernise its website after nearly two decades on its legacy CMS. With a licence expiry looming, they faced a tight deadline to rebuild their digital presence. The existing site had major usability and accessibility issues, such as poor search, gated content, cluttered design, and a lack of visual engagement - all of which made it difficult for users to navigate and engage with the platform.


Solution
Cantarus partnered with BIMCO to deliver a full digital transformation using Umbraco CMS. The project began as a design-only engagement but evolved into a full-site implementation due to tight deadlines and the need for deeper expertise. Cantarus provided strategic discovery, built a scalable design system in Storybook, configured a best-practice Umbraco CMS setup, and integrated key business systems. Key results include a 110% increase in engagement time, a 100% rise in returning visitors, and a 9.6% boost in organic search acquisition.
