Background
OG Clean Fuels is a leading player in sustainable mobility. With innovative solutions like hydrogen and electric charging, the company helps Europe drive cleaner. Rapid growth and a shifted market focus created the need for a future-proof digital foundation.
The organization wanted to move away from a consumer-focused approach and fully concentrate on the B2B market. This required redefining their target audience, creating new personas, and building a platform that optimally supports both customers and internal teams. The existing landscape lacked the scalability and flexibility needed for OG Clean Fuels' ambitions. The biggest challenge was developing a digital environment that not only meets current needs but is also ready for future expansion, international growth, and personalized content experiences.
Solution
Together with OG Clean Fuels, we developed a scalable Digital Experience Platform (DXP) focused on the business market. During strategic sessions, we explored customer journeys, target audiences, and KPIs. We applied Simon Sinek’s Golden Circle model to clearly define the proposition from the Why, How, and What. Based on this foundation, we developed personas, wireframes, and an interactive prototype in Figma. We then built a solid foundation in sprints, incorporating continuous feedback from OG Clean Fuels. The goal: one powerful platform in which the website, customer portal, and app seamlessly work together.
Scalable and international platform
The website, app, and portal run within one central Umbraco environment. Multilingual, API-driven, and ready for growth and personalization.
Optimized for business users
Structure, content, and UX are tailored to business personas and customer needs.
Lightning-fast performance
All pages meet the latest Core Web Vitals standards and achieve high PageSpeed scores.
Real-time customer insights and loyalty data
Users can manage their profile, reward points, and check-ins. Earned happypoints can be redeemed in a shop offering attractive products.
Smart app with location and push functionality
Through geofencing, customers can check in, collect happypoints, and receive relevant notifications.
We're in a growth phase at OG Clean Fuels, and we felt our old website and app no longer aligned with where we wanted to go. But outsourcing a digital transformation is daunting: it needs to work technically, but also fit who we are as a brand and organization. From the start, the collaboration was structured and professional. This meant the project wasn't just executed tightly, but felt like a joint development rather than something we 'handed off'. The result speaks for itself: a modern, intuitive website and app that perfectly match the phase OG Clean Fuels is in right now. Our customers find their way faster, and initial feedback has been very positive—from both users and colleagues. We definitely recommend Speak. They combine technical expertise with a personal approach, making them a reliable partner for digital projects in an organization that's on the move.
Impact
OG Clean Fuels now has a scalable and future-proof platform where website, portal, and app work seamlessly together. Content is easy to manage, performance is optimized for SEO and speed, and the platform is ready for international growth. Through monthly sprints, teams from Speak and OG Clean Fuels continuously build new features and optimizations based on data, A/B testing, and personalization insights.

Performance = Planet
We architected this platform with sustainability baked into every technical decision.
Optimal Core Web Vitals across all pages: Faster load times mean less energy consumed per visit. With thousands of users across website, portal, and app, milliseconds compound into meaningful energy savings.
Headless architecture with centralized API: One content source powering three platforms eliminates redundant data processing and server requests. No duplicate content management, no unnecessary API calls, no wasted compute cycles.
Efficient caching strategies: Smart content delivery reduces server load and bandwidth consumption, cutting energy usage on both server and client side.
Clean, scalable codebase: Well-architected code runs more efficiently, requires less processing power, and reduces the carbon footprint of every interaction. Technical debt is environmental debt.
International Scalability Without Multiplication
Most companies expanding to five markets would deploy five separate systems, multiplying their infrastructure footprint. Our unified multilingual platform serves all markets from a single, optimized instance—one database, one CMS, one deployment pipeline. Scale without environmental cost multiplication.
Reduced Development Waste
Monthly sprint cycles driven by data and A/B testing mean we build what's needed, not what's guessed. No wasted development resources on unused features. No multiple iterations due to poor planning. Evidence-based development is sustainable development.
Long-term Infrastructure Efficiency
By future-proofing the architecture, we've eliminated the need for platform rebuilds or major overhauls—the most resource-intensive phase of digital projects. This platform evolves rather than gets replaced, avoiding the environmental cost of starting from scratch every few years.
Measurable Impact
Unlike vague sustainability claims, our impact is quantifiable: optimized load times (measurable in Lighthouse scores), reduced server requests (tracked via API analytics), and a single-instance architecture serving multiple markets (infrastructure cost comparison vs. traditional multi-site approaches).
This isn't sustainability as an afterthought—it's sustainability as architecture.
