Start with an Umbraco Form and add a webhook to your email platform or automation tool to receive the fields you need, and add them to the lists you want.

Email, first name, and a clear consent checkbox. Add a simple source tag such as “website”, or what fits your setup so you can report on signups from your Umbraco website.

Use your email platform’s native confirmation flow. Send the subscriber to the right list or tag and let the platform manage confirmation status. This is handled by your email tool and not the CMS.

Place scripts in your layout or a tag manager. If you use a consent tool, load scripts only after consent and keep the experience consistent on all pages.

Set these records in DNS following your email platform’s guidance. Proper authentication improves inbox placement, trust, and reporting accuracy. Consult your email marketing provider or your developer for further assistance on this.
