Cloud

Summary

Cloud is a collection of online services that stores or hosts your data.

In other words, a cloud is a platform to deploy your web applications and, using features and services, to scale your business that's taken care of by others than yourself. That means that using cloud you can build hyper-scale software in a world-wide context without worrying about the infrastructure.

Synonyms:

  • Software as a Service (SaaS)
  • Platform as a Service (PaaS)

Umbraco Cloud

Umbraco Cloud is the same familiar Umbraco CMS, it’s just hosted on Microsoft Azure - the most innovative cloud platform on the market. Among other perks, Umbraco Cloud has Umbraco Forms and Deploy integrated, and you get a free Umbraco TV subscription.

Easy to start and maintain your projects

It takes only a few minutes to start a new project on Umbraco Cloud. And because of automatic upgrades, it is easy to maintain it as you’re always running the newest version of Umbraco CMS. When new features come out, when bugs are fixed or security patches released, you don’t need to worry, as Umbraco Cloud will automatically upgrade accordingly.

You can make and test out new features in dedicated separate environments, and when you’re done - deploy with a single click. Umbraco Cloud also enables you to have an overview of all your current projects, including seeing a log listing of who changed what on a particular project, and what errors might have occurred.

Umbraco Cloud is equipped with ContentFlow, thanks to which there’s no such thing as “content freeze” as developers and editors never get in the way of each other.

With Baselines on Umbraco Cloud you’re able to create a baseline project and with just one click, create multiple child projects based on the baseline project codebase and structure. That means that you can, for example, quickly launch new campaign sites.

Different plans for different needs

Umbraco Cloud has a fixed and transparent pricing - so no hidden costs await. We realize that different businesses have specific needs. Therefore, Umbraco Cloud can also be purchased as one of the 3 different plans - Starter, Professional, and Enterprise.
