New Hire at Umbraco HQ: Mahmoud Abdel Rahman

Hey there 🙌!

My name is Mahmoud, and I am one of the newest members of the Umbraco family. You will find me at Unicorn Square as a Support Warrior being a part of the S.W.A.T. team (Support Warriors And Troubleshooters).

Just a few weeks after my new employment here at HQ, I got to experience Codegarden 2019, and WOW 🤩! What a crazy and fantastic way to kick-start my Umbraco career, having a blast with all my new colleagues and getting to meet our friendly community.

I am quite talkative, but I also love to write code, develop software and solve difficult problems. This is perfect for my new role here at HQ since I will, amongst other things, be busy helping and supporting our valuable customers (and maybe you) by discussing and finding solutions to different technical issues.

I am looking forward to making a difference for all Umbraco partners and the community by helping them with any questions and issues they might have.

So who am I?

I am quite an IT magician, and I have a passion for web development, which is why I am up to date with the latest contemporary technologies… But before I leave you completely behind, here’s a bit about me and what I do when I’m not at Umbraco working my magic.

I am 29 years old, and I’m living in Odense with my girlfriend, where I have been living all my life…. Well almost, except for the fact that I was born in Lebanon.

You could call me a family person since I spend a lot of time hanging out with my family. We are a HUGE crowd and we are always having a fun time!

In my spare time, I also spend time doing MMA training and playing soccer with my friends… I even joined the Umbraco Unicorns... and by soccer, I mean real soccer, but we also play quite a lot of FIFA on the PlayStation – can’t lie about that 😉.

Other than that I also love traveling the world and exploring new places, meeting new people, and experiencing different cultures. I feel very fortunate for being able to do so. Traveling brings me such joy in life and creates memories that last a lifetime.

Last but not least, I’m also a very creative person and I always have my head full of new ideas and things I want to do and develop. You’ll probably hear me talking a lot about all my brilliant ideas 😜.

I can't wait to learn so much from all of you Umbracians, and I already feel like a part of this unicorn family.
