New year = new friendly faces at Umbraco HQ - whooop! 🎉 Today, you get to meet Pia, a true Chameleon. A COMA Chameleon to be more specific (yep, got us humming CO-MA, CO-MA, CO-MA, CO-MA, CO-MA Chameleon 🎶). What does a Chameleon do at Umbraco? Find out now as you get to meet Pia 😃:

Hello! 🤩

My name is Pia and I’m happy to announce that I’m a new member of COMA (Communication and Marketing Astronauts) here at Umbraco HQ.

Pia 2 2

My new title is COMA Chameleon, and as the title might suggest I’ll be helping the COMA team with all sorts of different tasks🦎 So far I’ve mainly been doing market research and getting the hang of things around the office.

Who am I?🤔

I am 20 years old and currently living in Odense, as I have been most of my life. In fact, at the start of the year I moved in almost right next to Umbraco HQ, and I now only have a short (and often wet) five-minute walk to work. Though I’ve lived in Odense almost my whole life I am actually originally American, and I try to travel back to the states with my family as often as I can. I’ve spent all my summers in Florida and miss the sun ☀️ and beach 😎 almost permanently when I’m not there.

Why Umbraco?👩‍💻

I’ve always been very into computers and IT. I grew up while computers were just becoming a normal household item, and I spent many hours begging my parents for new computer games and then I’d spend hours playing them - especially Sims and all its expansion packs.

When I was about 12 I started my own blog, about my biggest obsession, One Direction 🤦, and started spending even more time on the computer and the internet. It was my first introduction to HTML, editing and gif-making, things I am still interested in, and the reason I’m considering studying something IT-related when I start university soon.

Outside Umbraco 🏐🏋🏼‍♀️

Even though I have spent a lot of hours behind a computer screen playing games etc., it’s definitely something else to be working full time behind one as I do atm here at Umbraco until I start uni.

So when I’m not at Umbraco I try to get moving and stay fairly active. Most of my free time is spent playing volleyball and I also like to hit the gym after work on the few days I don’t have practice.

That being said, I also enjoy relaxing, laying back and watching a good movie, or going out for a good time with my friends and colleagues. Even though I’ve only been here for about a month I’ve already been out with my lovely colleagues a couple of times, and I can’t wait to meet the rest of Umbraco HQ and the Umbraco community soon!
