So how would that work?Â
Simple… well not quite.
It does, after all, take a lot of hard work to get the MVP title, so it will certainly take some time to highlight all that work. If you are thinking about throwing your hat in the ring or nominating someone, our advice is Mise en place. Yes, you’ve read it right 😉 Make sure to get all your ingredients ready or in this case, all the information about the contributions, well in advance before you submit your nomination.Â
To be able to make a fair selection between all the nominees, we will need to have a clear understanding of the impact of their contributions and what makes them stand out. A clear and complete application will ensure we make the right and fair choice. Â
Who should submit?
Anyone in the Umbraco community with enough knowledge of the contributions of those they would like to see with the MVP badge. And anyone who has been working hard to support other Umbracians and share their love for the friendly CMS.Â
This means that the process is open to nominations AND self-nominations; we encourage you to be your own best advocate. After all, you are the one with the clearest idea of the amount of work put into contributing to your favorite CMS and paying it forward.Â
And please don’t be humble - we give you full permission to brag about your awesome work and achievements!Â
What about the renewals?Â
The same goes for the renewals.Â
The nomination form includes two sections: New MVPs and Renewed MVPs.
The Renewed MVPs section displays a dropdown list with the names of the current MVPs to choose from. So before submitting a new nomination, we recommend you have a look at the list of the current MVPs. If your nominee’s name is there, you will need to choose the Renewed MVPs section of the form.Â
Umbraco HQ will be considering all current MVPs (14 MVPs(2019) and 32 Renewed MVPs) as nominees for the renewal.  Â
