Umbraco Campari Cup is back for another round

What is Umbraco Campari Cup again?

It is a football competition for all in the Umbraco community. That’s right. Everyone connected to Umbraco is invited and everyone can participate, regardless of your football skill level. The first Umbraco Campari Cup was held 5 years ago and we thought it was about time to bring it back.

The winner of Umbraco Campari Cup 2020 will take home a massive Umbraco trophy! Plus the eternal glory, of course. Just like the team of Oxygen did in 2015:

The winner will have the honor of keeping the trophy for one year and then will pass it on to the champions of the next Umbraco Campari Cup. Well, unless the winner will put up a good fight and win again 😉

Umbraco Campari Cup 2020 will take place in Odense, Denmark. We will play indoors at a venue very close to the Umbraco HQ. Venue address: Fodboldfabrikken, Østersøgade 8, 5000 Odense.

We start gathering on Friday the 21th of February 2020 at 13:00.

Rules & plan for the day

Each team will consist of 4 members: 1 goalkeeper and 3 field players. Your team can have as many substitutes as you want, but the match will always be 4 vs 4.

Very important: everyone can play! No matter your gender or your football skills. Because just as the CMS, Umbraco Campari Cup has FRIENDLY at its core 😊

Drinks and snacks will be provided at the venue and as soon as the competition is over, we will head over to Umbraco HQ where dinner will be served.

We will end the Umbraco Campari Cup with a party at Umbraco HQ where all of the teams are invited. Not just teams, even if you didn’t play, you are more than welcome to join in.

How to sign up?

If you want to participate in the Umbraco Campari Cup, all you have to do is sign up. You can do so until January 24th:

When we will come closer to the event date, you will receive an email with more information about all of the practicalities.

We’re looking forward to the game! See you there? 😉

Why the bridging courses might be something for you

You've heard us call Umbraco version 8 “the next generation of Umbraco.” But should you take a step and join the “next generation” now if you're already skilled in Umbraco 7? We think so. But for you to hear a less biased opinion we want you to meet someone who's already decided to level up via the Bridging Courses. Someone who has worked with Umbraco 8 herself and can answer all the questions you might have if you're considering levelling up and going on the Bridging Courses. Meet Poornima:
