The Professional certification exam consists of 20 questions, and the Expert and Master certification exams consist of 60 questions. The questions are based on the knowledge taught in the courses required for each exam. For instance, the Professional exam will only contain questions based on the Umbraco Fundamentals course. All exams have a 60 minute timer and have 3 attempts. If you do not pass an exam after 3 tries, you must attend the course again or purchase access to the re-exam.

Your training certification is valid for 2 years.

Before your certification expires, you can purchase access to an exam to renew your certification. This comes instead of re-taking the course(s).

The renewal exam targets the most recent version of Umbraco. If you are unable to complete the exam, we recommend attending one or more courses to refresh your memory.

Once you pass the recertification exam, the expiration date of your certificate will be extended to two years from the date of passing.

For the renewal of the master certification, you choose the one based on the skill courses that you have completed.
