Job Roles at Umbraco HQ

The job opportunities at Umbraco HQ probably spans further than you think

Do you have to be an expert in building Umbraco sites to work at Umbraco HQ? No. Do you have to be an expert in code? No. Well of course for some jobs, skills like these are important, but what we're trying to say here is that we actually hire a diverse range of people with different skill-sets and competencies. Here are just some of the different job roles currently at Umbraco HQ:

The D-team

The “Development” team consists of our talented Operations, Umbraco Core, Headless and Cloud developers.

On a daily basis, they use their skills to solve code riddles, build new features, do code review, fix bugs and keep things running smoothly - all of which to make Umbraco and Umbraco Cloud even better for everyone.

The S.W.A.T team

Our friendly “Support Warrior and Troubleshooter”-team first and foremost takes care of providing excellent customer service and answering all Umbraco-related questions that our customers might have.

This is just one of their many tasks though, as they also work on our Documentations page, Umbraco TV and much more.

The Suits

The Suits consists of all our Friend Makers, who talk directly to the many web agencies and Umbraco partners all over the world and support them in creating and capturing value with Umbraco. And funnily enough, they rarely wear suits…

Fishtank

The name Fishtank is inspired by the team’s first office in a tiny cubicle with glass walls. In short, these friendly faces take care of our finances, e-commerce, facility maintenance, various administrative tasks as well as event management.

Loved by developers, used by thousands around the world!

One of the biggest benefits of using Umbraco is that we have the friendliest Open Source community on this planet. A community that's incredibly pro-active, extremely talented and helpful.

If you get an idea for something you would like to build in Umbraco, chances are that someone has already built it. And if you have a question, are looking for documentation or need friendly advice, go ahead and ask on the community forums.
