Getting reviews, feedback and new ideas from our users and our community is one of the most valuable assets for our business. And with our open source CMS it's the best way for us to improve our product for all of our users.
That's why we highly encourage reviews and feedback from all Umbraco users out there; from editors and developers at in-house development teams to web agency partners and employees at our own company.
On this page you'll find 5 types of reviews of Umbraco:
Case studies take a lot of time and work to write; so it's not for everyone. To make it easier to leave us a review, we also encourage our users to leave us a review on external platforms.
And what do our users think? We're proud to say that Umbraco is a leader in Web Content Management on G2.
At Umbraco we care about our employees - without them we wouldn't be where we are today. And we most certainly wouldn't be able to deliver the delightful experience for our users that we strive for.
That's why we always want to know how they are feeling about working at Umbraco. To make this as open as possible, we also use external platforms to gather - and share - these reviews.
What do our employees say?
“Providing helpful and friendly support to our users truly brings a smile to my face. Whether it’s through the chat or by demoing our products in a webinar. Every day I’m talking to people from all over the world - I get to guide them and hear all about the great things they’re building with Umbraco.”
Some of the best reviews can be found when looking at how users actually use a product and the impact it has had on their life. For that reason we collaborate with great companies and agencies about showcasing their solutions.
Here's a selected few of the cases that can show you what Umbraco can do for your business and most importantly; how it can make your life simpler.

We're very proud to be an award winning CMS. And that's especially true when we win awards that are picked by you - the user.
Here's a few of the most recent awards that we've won.
The Golden 2020 CMS
The Umbraco CMS was awarded first place (or Gold) in the "Content Management System" category for The Visual Studio Magazine 2020 Reader’s Choice Award.
We’re very happy to receive this award - and the fact that it is the “Reader’s Choice Award”, of course, warms our hearts just a tiny bit more ❤️
MSDN Magazine was the flagship publication for .NET developers engaged with the Microsoft developer stack (it stopped being published at the end of 2019).
2019 CMS Critics' Award
“The CMS Critic Awards were started several years ago in order to fill a gap that was missing in the business software industry. While there have been similar awards in the past that have been given out, none have been truly focused on ensuring fair exposure and opportunity to all players in the market.” CMS Critic Awards.
For the 2019 CMS Critics’ Award, Umbraco won the “Best Enterprise CMS”.
DIGITALEUROPE Future Unicorn Award 2019
Handpicked out of 35,000 companies across Europe, we were among the 3 final winners of the Future Unicorn Award 2019. Something we’re very proud of. And it was a surprise because, well, we don’t see ourself as a “European Tech giant”... but who knows, maybe in the future? At least that’s the belief and the prediction by DIGITALEUROPE and why we got this award.
It’s an award which “aims at celebrating SMEs from across Europe that have the potential to become the future European Tech giants. It puts under the spotlight SMEs which have demonstrated to be successful in digitising their business processes and in offering innovative digital products and services.”
