Hello everyone, my name is Nadia, and I am a new intern on the Cloud Activation Team (CAT) here at Umbraco. I’m very excited about joining Umbraco and I’m really looking forward to being working with a team of helpful employees and the whole Umbraco community.
My responsibilities at Umbraco vary on a daily basis. Often, it means calling leads and doing demos if the customer is down for it. For now, I'm playing around with Uno and getting to know the product.
I’m 25 years old and I live in Odense with my husband and 1-year old son Adam. I’m originally from a city called Hjørring on Jutland, but I spontaneously moved to Odense a few years ago after studying abroad in the United States for a year.
While there, I stayed in Sacramento, California, where I still go twice a year to visit my mom’s family. My husband is half-American and we go to Texas to visit his mom, too. I love California and enjoy everything about the warm weather, all the different fast food chains, and the population full of diverse nationalities.
I’m also studying while working at Umbraco. I will finish my Bachelor’s degree in International Sales and Marketing at University College Lillebælt (UCL) in January 2022.
I got married while doing my university degree and gave birth to Adam, my baby boy, in the beginning of 2020. My life changed 360° when Adam came into it, and now my day consists of feeding and changing diapers while maintaining a full-time job.
First, a little about Nadia 1.0!
Before I had Adam, life was quite different and no day looked the same as another. I enjoyed being spontaneous and could wake up in the morning and decide to take a day trip to Germany or another city in Denmark.
I’ve visited 17 countries in my life so far.
Two years ago, my husband and I traveled through Asia, visiting Singapore, Malaysia, and Bali in Indonesia while I was 2 months pregnant. It was an amazing trip!
Nowadays, I mainly spend my days walking around with a stroller or going to the university. I have what I call “mom days” and “me days.” The “mom days” consist of quality time with my little family. I enjoy them as much as the “me days,” when I go out with friends to cafés or restaurants to grab a meal in peace (LOL).
My favorite season is summer. I love warm weather and long summer nights. I also love travelling to warm countries like Spain and Malaysia and am a travel person who loves to meet new people from all around the world. I love different cultures and am a foodie who enjoys eating all different types of food.
