The Umbraco BBQ season 2018

Sun, delicious food and friendly Umbracians ☀️

Summer is in full swing (at least in the Northern Hemisphere). You are likely melting into your chair whilst reading this. The office AC is pumping out cool air but it isn’t making much difference. What better excuse do you need to get outside and have a BBQ with some of your favourite Umbracians?! The Umbraco BBQ season is here - join in or perhaps even fire up one yourself!

So what’s it all about?

The Umbraco BBQ events started in 2017 in Bristol and London as a way to keep the community active during the quieter summer months. Umbracians from far and wide are invited to offices, pubs, gardens, to relax, meet with new people and eat some great food in the (hopefully) warm summer sun.

Who can join?

Everyone is welcome! There’s no obligation to talk about work or even Umbraco (unless you want to!), just to enjoy an evening among friends.

The evening kicks off with networking over some drinks, followed by fresh BBQ food, and then maybe even some entertainment for the evening.

At the recent Danish Umbraco BBQ in Aarhus, hosted by DIS/PLAY, we even had Hammerschlagen (AKA naily-log) and an Umbraco quiz from Umbraco legend Jan Skovgaard! Of course there was tons of great food and beer too.

This year the BBQ is visiting 4 fantastic cities across the UK and Denmark. The #umbMeatUp has visited Bristol, UK (thanks to Bump Digital) and Aarhus, Denmark (courtesy of DIS/PLAY) already this year, and there’s 2 more events coming up!

London is next up TOMORROW, followed by the final Umbraco BBQ for this year in Manchester on September 7 (big H5YR to Agidea, McCann Manchester and Offroadcode for making it happen!) - hurry as spaces are limited, it would be great to see as many Umbracians there as possible!
