Agria Pet Insurance
New Umbraco web build nets a 29% increase in sales for Agria.

Background
Agria are the world’s first pet insurer and have been providing pet healthcare since 1890.
Agria had a legacy website built on outdated Angular and Umbraco 7, with slow performance, poor UX, and lacking key features such as a "MyAccount" area. With Umbraco 7 sunsetting in September 2023, it was time for an upgrade.
Agria’s ambition was to develop a modern-high performance website that not only achieved immediate results but also offered the scalability necessary for future business expansion.

Approach
Leveraging our UX and conversion expertise alongside our insurance sector insights we began by rebuilding the equine insurance journey in Gatsby technology.
This proof of concept produced an immediate conversion uplift and revenue performance, leading to a full rebuild of the main website with modern design and headless technology, all hosted with Netlify to provide super-fast load times.
The redesign included a new design system, validated through usability testing, and high-fidelity UI designs reflecting the brand with modern functionality and responsiveness. The site structure was simplified and enhanced with improved product page designs, prominent calls to action, and an SEO-friendly structure to enhance organic search visibility.
Overview
Importantly, our work has transformed Agria's ability to work with partners that it underwrites insurance for, enabling the efficient rollout of multiple additional sites based on connected, white-labelled versions of the main site framework.
The new modern design and architecture now provides superior performance, scalability, and security. It also provides a consolidated, easy-to-use structure for content editors and internal developers, ensuring the solution is future-proofed and sustainable.
Positive environmental outcomes

Thank you for everything, you’ve made such huge impact - our digital presence is now something to be proud of and we've gone from being behind the market to being peer group leaders.
