Background
MHA's original system was slow, insecure, and dependent on a single technical resource for all updates. Over time, layers of custom code had accumulated, making the system increasingly complex for users and difficult to maintain.
The client wanted to preserve the existing front-end functionality while improving the data-submission user experience. They also needed to expand back-end access and give internal users stronger tools to review, analyze, and visualize submitted data.
Solution
Knowing the client had a small team, RBA proposed using Umbraco for its ease of use and short learning curve. Through a shared login experience, we created 5 separate portals that utilize Umbraco Forms for data collection. PowerBI and Microsoft Fabric were both integrated with Umbraco to provide a powerful tool for back-end users to visualize the data for easy analysis.
Impact
MHA moved into the Umbraco CMS and gained the ability to manage their own content with less developer dependency. The backoffice content authoring has allowed them to create and manage pages easily. They use Umbraco Forms to collect feedback from their members. The forms use workflow steps to trigger email actions and submit data to a 3rd-party service for reporting and visualizations across the site.
