Background
Mold Inspection Sciences is a 20+ year-old inspection and testing company operating in a highly specialized field with minimal marketing and paid advertising spend. Its Umbraco 13 website was the front door for the business, but a small team meant content moved slowly.
At the same time, the company was investing heavily in video, and monthly views were climbing fast. That momentum lived entirely on YouTube, with no clear path back to the website. Search was also shifting toward AI-driven discovery, and the site had little structured data or AI-ready content.
Accessibility had been on the roadmap for years. Reaching a 90%+ score was always the "future task" in the backlog, never the one that got done.
Solution
ProWorks and the Mold Inspection Sciences team worked through the site in stages between November 2025 and July 2026, treating AI as a tool that helps editors do more rather than one that replaces them.
The foundation was an upgrade from Umbraco 13 to Umbraco 17 on Umbraco Cloud, which made the site ready for Umbraco's AI tooling. Video watch pages followed, paired with schema markup, llms.txt, and other AEO/GEO groundwork so the company's content could be found by both search engines and AI assistants. The ProWorks Website Content Evaluator then guided a content consolidation pass, retiring and refreshing pages so the main site told one clear brand story.
Umbraco MCP was connected next, letting the team create document structure and publish content in bulk instead of clicking through the back-office. Umbraco.AI followed, with the ProWorks Umbraco AI Page Evaluator reviewing every new piece of content for quality, brand alignment, and AI discoverability before it goes live.
Accessibility was tackled using the Accessibility Reporter package to measure and monitor progress, and a "listen to this post" audio feature was added to every article. Finally, Umbraco.AI guardrails were configured to keep AI-assisted content within the brand's guidelines.
Impact
Website traffic is up 80% year over year, with engaged traffic up 50%, and the company credits AI discoverability as a major factor. Video views grew from under 1,000 a month to more than 1 million, and the new watch pages capture that audience directly on the site.
Publishing is no longer the bottleneck. A new video page or blog post now takes less than 10 minutes of human time to create, approve, and publish in Umbraco, so the team's effort goes into the content itself.
The site's average accessibility score rose from 86 to 98. A backlog item that had waited years is now marked complete.
Most importantly, 2026 is a record year for leads, jobs, and revenue. Website chat and contact forms account for roughly 10% of leads but more than 25% of actual clients, making the website the company's best-converting channel.
Results
"Bringing our site to a 90%+ accessibility score was always a 'future task' in our backlog. It's now marked complete."
