Our contribution to Umbraco

Knowit is an Umbraco Gold Partner with a large team of certified developers and long experience of delivering successful projects on the platform. We also take an active part in the Umbraco community and ecosystem.

Dennis Adolfi, Head of Tech at Knowit Experience, is a six-time Umbraco MVP and a three-time Microsoft MVP, recognised by Umbraco HQ and the community for his knowledge sharing and contributions to the platform.

Our Umbraco work spans several markets. In Sweden, we built the new website for GöteborgsOperan with a strong focus on accessibility and an inclusive user experience. Umbraco lets editors create show pages with their own creative expression, while shared templates and blocks keep the experience consistent. The site was named Best Designed Site in the global Umbraco Awards in 2021, received the highest rating with zero accessibility remarks in the Funka Accessibility Awards in 2022, and won first prize in the commercial websites category at the Web Service Award 2022. We have also helped Got Event with their different websites, including Gothenburg Horse Show.

We created the new digital presence for Liseberg, Sweden's largest amusement park with more than seven million visitors a year, which led to 25 percent higher revenue and a Swedish design award. We also launched a completely new website for BEWI RAW in record time with an AI-native way of working, reaching a perfect score of 100 in performance, accessibility, SEO and best practices, a security grade of A and only 0.24 grams of CO₂ per page view.

In Denmark, we designed and built a new Umbraco Cloud website for BioInnovation Institute, a non-profit foundation that helps life science and deep tech startups turn research into real products. We created one shared brand platform with a flexible module library that lets editors build new pages themselves without losing brand consistency. The site launched in May 2025 after three sprints of development, and we continue to support it through a service agreement. Our Danish colleagues have also delivered solutions for SOS International, SOS Dansk Autohjælp and Metroselskabet.
